Dispatches from the Distancing – Days 156-162

First off, I apologize for any strange typos that I don’t catch. I’ve been having some neck pain and invested in a stand for my laptop and new keyboard. The stand has arrived (and it is making a difference) but the keyboard hasn’t, so I’m typing at a very strange angle.

So, not much to report from this week as I spent most of it watching the DNC. I thought it would be a mess, but they actually pulled most of it off quite well. In fact, I think that I prefer this “infomercial” style to the traditional conventions, except for the lack of crowds for the big speeches. And, no, I won’t be watching the the festival of hatred next week.

When I pulled up the pictures for today’s post, I realized this was the 3 year anniversary of the eclipse, which was quite the deal back then. I cheated a little and made a collage of two pictures from that day–but it’s my blog and I get to do what I want, right? Anyway, here you go.

2017

The best picture we could get of the eclipse and the kids loved their special eyewear!

2019

Here we are introducing the kids to one of our favorite games, Ticket to Ride. Lillie loves board games, but Chris isn’t too sure about them.

My hope is that something exciting will happen this week and I can share it all with you next week…I’m not sure that will happen, but one can hope. Stay healthy!

  1. Sorry to hear about your neck pain. I hope the new computer stand and keyboard alleviate it.
LOVE the photos of the eclipse and your children. Yes, you can post whatever the heck you want on your blog. That’s what I do!
